ACUM Prepares for Midyear Committee and Symposium

The Atlantic Caribbean Union (ACUM) is preparing for its first midyear executive committee meetings and symposium slated for May 31 to June 1, 2011
at its headquarters in the Summerwinds Plaza on Tonique Williams-Darling Highway.

According to Pastor Peter Kerr, executive secretary of the new union, at this midyear session, the union’s strategic plan will be discussed as well as the financial standing of the union and its fields; however, evangelism will be the agenda’s main item. An update on the new office building will also be provided.

Pastor Kerr shared information on other events taking place during this time. “At the culmination of the committee meeting, a joint symposium will be held at the Hillview Church on Wednesday, June 1 at 7:15 p.m. All four field leaders, Pastor Eric Clarke, Pastor Errol Tinker, Pastor Paul Scavella, and Pastor Michael Smith, along with the president of Northern Caribbean University will present short video reports highlighting the accomplishments of their areas in the light of Constant in Prayer, a key component of the over arching theme of Revival and Reformation. Following these reports, union president, Pastor Leonard Johnson will present a charge,” Kerr said.

Finally, it should be noted that ACUM’s officers and directors will be involved in the Inter-American Division’s retreat from Friday, May 13 to Sunday May 15, 2011, and the boards and committee meetings at the Division’s headquarters in Miami, Florida from May 16 to May 19. At this time, union directors and officers from throughout the Inter-American Division territory will gather to discuss plans and programs for the various departments of the church with the aim of mobilizing the church even more in spreading the gospel.
We ask that you continue to pray for ACUM and the work in other parts of the world.
