South Bahamas Observes Religious Liberty

One of the human rights bestowed upon us by God is freedom of choice, a right which allows people everywhere

of every faith, to worship and practice one’s religion without outside interference as long as such practice does not restrict the rights of others and does not pose a threat to the welfare of society. Where religious freedom is accepted there is a general commonwealth of progress and goodwill throughout civil society. Thus, religious liberty is a God-given blessing which every believer should acknowledge and embrace. From early in its history, the church has been an avid proponent of civil and religious freedom.
