ACUM Children’s Ministries Leaders Head to IAD Convention

By Andrew Burrows

Dr. Cheryl Rolle, children’s ministries director for the Atlantic Caribbean Union (ACUM), will lead a delegation of six children’s ministries leaders and teachers from the four fields of ACUM at the first Children’s Ministries Leaders Convention sponsored by the Adventist Church in Inter-America.
The ACUM delegation will join over 500 children’s ministries leaders and teachers from across the Inter-American Division (IAD) at Camp Kulaqua in High Springs, Florida, United States during July 10-15, 2012, for five days of spiritual renewal, training, and fellowship under the theme “Fit for Jesus.”

Convention participants will receive valuable training on the most effective methods of nurturing children for the kingdom.

“Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to presentations on topics such as effective leadership, using effective visuals, child evangelism, and much more. In addition to training, we also will be inspired and renewed spiritually through the special worship services,” Dr. Rolle said.

According to Dinorah Rivera, children’s ministries director for the Inter-American Division and the organizer of the event, about 30 invited speakers and seminar presenters will share information that will help the teachers and leaders in their ministries at their respective churches.

The general sessions will be video-taped and later uploaded online for viewing at www.interamerica.org
