On Wednesday evening, December 12, 2012, the Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU), officially launched its 2013 Prayer Initiative at a special service held at the Hillview SDA Church in the South Bahamas Conference. The theme for the occasion and next year’s prayer journey as a union is P.U.S.H. (Pray Until Something Happens).
Pastor Peter Kerr, executive secretary and prayer coordinator for ATCU, delivered the spiritual charge. Focusing on the power of prayer, he assured the membership of ATCU that God is able to answer extraordinary prayers as they prepare to face 2013. The service was interspersed with prayer sessions and rich uplifting music.

Pastor Leonard Johnson, president of ATCU, explained the importance of the prayer initiative and briefly described the prayer focus for each month of 2013. For the first month of 2013, the ATCU family and other interested persons are invited to concentrate on family relationships.

The ATCU Prayer Initiative, which will enter its second year in 2013, is a corporate prayer experience that answers the call to prayer and devotion to Jesus Christ issued by the program Revival and Reformation. Revival and Reformation, formulated by the Adventist World Church, aims to encourage members to develop and maintain a close relationship with Christ through prayer and Bible study and to share their faith with others.

The ATCU 2013 prayer booklet, with the weekly prayer focus, can be viewed at, or one can be obtained from an Adventist church in the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, or the Turks and Caicos Islands.
