ACUM To Hold Year-end Meetings

By: Communication Department

On Wednesday, October 17, the Adventist World Church concluded its annual Fall Council or Committee Meetings. This past weekend, October 27, the Inter-American Division began its year- end meetings in Tegucigalpa, Honduras
At the conclusion of these meetings in Honduras, the Atlantic Caribbean Union (ACUM) will commence its year-end meetings on Monday, November 5.
During the meetings, there will be field consultations at which time the administrators of each field in ACUM will interact with the administrators of the union on matters relating to the overall development in their particular areas. The ACUM executive committee will meet on Tuesday, November 6 and Wednesday, November 7, 2012.

According to Elder Roderick Sands, treasurer of ACUM, the year-end meetings are important for the church as it allows time to celebrate God’s leading of the church and to reflect on what God has accomplished through the church. It is also a time for the church to give an account in areas of finance, evangelism, and the various ministries. Finally, it is a time to project for the future.

The meetings are bathed in prayer and interspersed with devotional thoughts. There are 28 members on the union committee, which includes all administrators at the union and the various fields throughout ACUM, departmental directors at ACUM, various categories of workers, and lay members of ACUM. The meetings will be held at the union headquarters on Gladstone Road, New Providence, Bahamas.
