NBC Worships Together in Convention 2013

On Sabbath, testimonies and songs of God’s transforming grace prepared the way for an even higher experience with the Lord at the divine service. Pastor Grosvenor cautioned the congregation not to be ‘Praisers’ if they were not ‘Prayers,’ explaining that prayer life was intended to ‘energize’ one’s praise life, for ‘men ought always to pray and faint not.’ Luke 18:1. The service ended with a prayer of recommitment for all present. Fittingly, the day concluded with an ordination service for elders and deacons in the Abaco district of churches.

Following these activities, the next weekend led to the beginning of convention in Grand Bahama on Wednesday, January 16, as an array of members and visitors came for the opening night when Pastor Errol Tinker, president of NBC, presented the message. Guest speaker, Pastor Keith Morris, delivered the messages from Thursday evening to Sabbath morning with a presentation on John 3:16.

To close the convention activities on Sabbath, the music coordinators prepared an afternoon of praise through a selection of favorite inspirational songs. It all ended with the beloved rendition by Sister Era Gibson of “The Milky White Way.”
