A Season of Prayer Kicks Off the New Year at Hope Channel

The General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and Hope Channel launch Renew Your Life: 10 Days of Prayer, a unique televised prayer event.
SILVER SPRING, MD, January 8, 2013 – The Ministerial Department of the General Conference and Hope Channel are partnering to produce Renew Your Life: 10 Days of Prayer, a live program that will air 10 consecutive days, beginning today, January 8 at 8 p.m., ET. The event will include a two-hour live special on Saturday, January 12 at 5 p.m, ET.

Renew Your Life: 10 Days of Prayer will include Derek Morris of the Ministerial Department of the General Conference of SDA sharing inspiring daily devotionals; Kandus Thorp praying with callers from around the world; and David Franklin presenting powerful testimonies that will be broadcast live from various churches.* The two-hour live show on Saturday will affirm the power of prayer through the testimony of special guests: On Saturday, Alicia, Nathan, and Gable Patterson will share their story of Nathan's close brush with death from Brugada Syndrome last summer at the age of 14. On Sunday, author and Hollywood producer, DeVon Franklin, who recently shared his Sabbath-keeping practices on Oprah, will talk about the importance of prayer in his life.
