Bible Boom Grand Bahama 2012

The North Bahamas Conference held its 7th Annual Bible Boom competition at the Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church on June 23, 2012. There were six (6) excited and eager participants from the Shiloh, Blessed Hope, West End, and Eight Mile Rock Seventh-day Adventist Churches vying for the Joseph Award (the top award given to the champion at the conference level of the competition).
These contestants anticipated their questions, having studied intensely the books Galatians, Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians in the Bible.

The participants consisted of three (3) individuals in the Pathfinder and three (3) individuals in the Master Guide age brackets. The judges for this event were Mr. Sydney Forbes, principal of Grand Bahama Academy, Mrs. Evelyn Lopez, former teacher of the Eight Mile Rock High School, and Mrs. Thomas, a teacher at Grand Bahama Academy and the Head Judge for the event. Mr. Morgan, also a teacher at Grand Bahama Academy, worked in the capacity as Timekeeper, while the Youth Director of the North Bahamas Conference, Pastor Ricardo Bain, fielded the questions for the event.

Congratulations go out to Miss Latitia Bullard of the Shiloh Church who won the Pathfinder age group and Miss Kesa Petit-frere of the Eight Mile Rock Church who won the Master Guide age group. Miss Petit-frere will be representing the North Bahamas Conference at the Moses Level (the Union level of the competition), which is expected to be held on the island of Grand Bahama this year. In all, it was a great contest as all the contestants operated in the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
