Pastor Wilson Isnord Ordained to the Gospel Ministry

By: Andrew Burrows/ATCU

On Sabbath afternoon, January 26, 2013, Pastor Wilson Isnord was ordained to the gospel ministry at a service held at the Blue Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Turks and Caicos Islands Mission.
Pastor Leonard Johnson, president of the Atlantic Caribbean Union, in his sermon entitled "Called for a Purpose" expanded on three main points: being committed to the call, the importance of others recognizing the call, and the necessity to nurture or maintain the call. His key text was taken was from Mark 3:13 - 15. As an example, he drew illustrations from the experience of the apostle Paul and his call to ministry.

Pastor Michael Smith, president of the Turks and Caicos Island Mission, presented Pastor Insord with a Bible, his ordination certificate, and an inspirational book. Pastor Peter Kerr, executive secretary of ATCU, presented the charge and Pastor Peter Joseph, executive secretary of the South Bahamas Conference, offered the dedicatory prayer.

Pastor Isnord and his wife were each greeted and received by the ministerial fraternity and the shepherdess club respectively. During his remarks, Pastor Isnord expressed thanks to the many people who have encouraged him in his journey thus far. He made special mention of his wife, Valencia and his two children, Wilkenson and Willeisha and their support and sacrifice.

Pastor Isnord began his ministerial experience in the South Bahamas Conference in 2009. In 2011, he accepted a call to serve as a pastor and evangelist in the Turks and Caicos Islands Mission. Presently, Pastor Isnord serves as the district pastor of the Bethel, Ephesus, and Five Cays Churches.
