Atlantic Caribbean Union

Thank you message from Pastor E. Bryan Tinker, President of the North Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

I wish to embrace this opportunity on behalf of my immediate family, Jason and Brittany, my in-laws: Elder and Sister Neville Miller, Elder and Sister Rick Sands, our wider family members, and on my own behalf, to express heartfelt gratitude to the family of the entire Atlantic Caribbean Union Mission and beyond,
but especially to our family here in the North Bahamas Conference, for the unanimous outpouring of love and concern you have shown towards Alice and us during her illness. Thank you for the numerous telephone calls, for your many prayers and words of comfort and encouragement. Thank you from the depth of our hearts. “Thank you for giving to the Lord.”

I would like also to register a special note of gratitude to Drs. Wendell and Althea McMillan, Elder Arleen Sands, Sister Tonia Palmer, Sister Era Gibson, Elder and Sister Louis Thurston, and all others who were involved in anyway, in helping to make Sunday’s celebration of the life and ministry of Alice such an inspiration and blessing, all to the glory of God.

Finally, I wish to express sincere thanks to the President of our Union, Dr. Leonard A. Johnson and his wife Denise, Shepherdess of ACUM, together with fellow officers of the Union, administrators, departmental directors, pastors and members from the various sister fields, and indeed, all in attendance.

The message from God was truly a message of hope - one that enables us to look beyond this life of sickness, pain and death, to that grand and glorious day of Christ’s return. And “We have this hope that burns within our hearts.” It is my impassioned prayer today that we will all embrace anew “The Blessed Hope.”
