In September 2027, the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church will unite in a coordinated evangelistic initiative unlike anything the Church has undertaken before. Known as OneVoice27: Mission for All, the initiative will bring together Adventist media ministries, local churches, institutions, and individual members to proclaim Jesus Christ as the Messiah and the hope of His return. While the initiative will be united in timing, theme, and global marketing, it will intentionally allow for diverse approaches and contextualized expressions of the gospel in different cultures and communities.
The timing is significant. The year 2027 marks approximately 2,000 years since the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry following His baptism and anointing. Two thousand years after Christ walked the roads of Galilee, preached the kingdom of God, healed the sick, restored the broken, called disciples, died on Calvary, and rose from the grave, His Church is preparing to lift up the same Jesus before a new generation.
OneVoice27 recognizes that the mission field has changed dramatically. The places where people ask questions, search for meaning, and form relationships increasingly extend beyond the walls of traditional institutions. Social media, video platforms, podcasts, websites, streaming services, and other digital spaces have become part of everyday life for myriads of people. For the Church, this presents not merely a communications opportunity but a mission opportunity.
The initiative is therefore about much more than producing media. It is about using media intentionally to create opportunities for people to encounter Jesus. A testimony can begin a conversation. A short video can lead someone to search for Scripture. A podcast can address a question that someone has been afraid to ask. A story of God’s faithfulness can bring hope to someone facing a difficult season. Digital evangelism can open doors to Bible study, discipleship, and ultimately connection with the local church.
A Global Initiative, Local Expressions
Although OneVoice27 is a worldwide initiative, its strength will come from the many local expressions of the gospel that will emerge from it. Adventists across different cultures, languages, generations, and communities will communicate the message in ways that are relevant to the people they are trying to reach. The message remains united, while the voices, stories, creative approaches, and platforms may differ.
This is particularly important in a world where people increasingly value authentic stories and personal experiences. The Church does not need every member to become a professional communicator. It needs members who are willing to recognize that their own stories can become part of the mission. A young person who knows how to create engaging videos, a church member who has experienced God’s faithfulness, a pastor who can communicate Scripture, a family willing to share its testimony, or a content creative who can tell the gospel through images all have something to contribute.
OneVoice27 creates an opportunity to move beyond viewing media simply as a means of promoting church activities. Instead, media itself becomes a ministry environment where people can encounter the gospel before they ever encounter a church building.
The Three Dimensions of OneVoice27
The official OneVoice27 framework is built around three interconnected dimensions: Project, Preparation, and Purpose. Together, they describe not only what the Church will do in September 2027, but how it will prepare spiritually for that moment and what it hopes will happen as a result.
The Project: Proclaiming Jesus With One Voice
The Project is the public expression of OneVoice27, centered on September 2027. The Church will proclaim with one voice that Jesus is the Messiah and that He is coming. The initiative calls for unity in timing, theme, and coordinated marketing, while maintaining diversity in methods and strategies.
At the heart of the Project is the conviction that every media platform can become a place of mission. The central focus is therefore not the technology, but the message of the Messiah. Everything points to Jesus Christ and the hope of His return.
Preparation: Before We Speak, We Pray
If the Project is about what the Church will proclaim, Preparation is about who the Church must become before it proclaims it.
OneVoice27 calls the Church to prepare through prayer, reflection on the life of Christ, and a renewed study of the prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation. The initiative places particular emphasis on seeking the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, recognizing that a global evangelistic effort can produce activity without spiritual transformation unless it is grounded in dependence upon God. Prayer is therefore not an accessory to OneVoice27. It is part of the preparation itself.
The preparation also includes an intentional return to the life of Christ through The Desire of Ages. Members are encouraged to spend thoughtful time contemplating the life of Jesus.
Purpose: From Digital Interest to Discipleship
The third dimension is Purpose and delineates what happens after someone sees the message.
OneVoice27 is not designed to end with a view, a like, a share, or a follower, but for the Church to be mobilized so that media outreach is connected directly with local churches and disciple-making with practical outcomes that include Bible-study requests, and harvest events. The vision is for churches to become active centers of follow-up, ready to receive people who have encountered the gospel through media. A person who responds online should have somewhere to go, someone to talk with, and an opportunity to continue learning about Jesus.
The Atlantic Caribbean Union Joins the Movement
The Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU) will bring this global initiative into its own territory, embracing the opportunity to mobilize churches and members across The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and Turks and Caicos Islands. Recognizing that ATCU has its own stories, voices, challenges, and opportunities, the Union will endeavor to have the gospel communicated in ways that connect meaningfully with the people who live here.
ATCU will officially launch is OneVoice countdown on October 3, 2026. This will begin the Union’s preparations for the September 2027 initiative and provide churches, ministries, communicators, creatives, pastors, and members with a roadmap and time to prepare intentionally for the opportunity ahead.
The countdown will be about more than watching a date approach. It will be a period of prayer, training, planning, creativity, mobilization, and intentional preparation for the global moment in September 2027. Rather than waiting until the month of the global initiative to determine what participation will look like, the Union will use the countdown to build the capacity and spiritual readiness necessary for meaningful engagement.
What Would Happen If We All Spoke About Jesus?
As the Atlantic Caribbean Union looks toward September 2027, one question captures the potential of what could happen across the territory: What would happen if thousands of Seventh-day Adventists across ATCU decided to speak about Jesus at the same time?
Imagine young people, teachers, church leaders, communicators, creatives, families, and individual members intentionally using their digital spaces to tell people about Jesus. Imagine social-media feeds, YouTube channels, websites, podcasts, WhatsApp conversations, radio broadcasts, television programs, publications, and other media platforms carrying messages of hope throughout the territory.
That is the vision for September 2027.
Throughout every day of September, ATCU will be sharing messages about Jesus online. The voices will be many, the stories will be different, and the creative expressions will vary, but the focus will remain the same. One person may share a testimony of God’s faithfulness. Another may offer a devotional thought. A young person may create a video for their generation. A pastor may open Scripture. A church may share its story. A member may simply tell how Jesus changed their life. Thousands of individual acts of witness can become one collective proclamation.
The mood of proclamation may change from person to person, but the mission remains the same: point people to Jesus and connect them with His Church.
The Voice Behind the Voices
Ultimately, OneVoice27 is not about making the Seventh-day Adventist Church louder. It is about making Jesus more visible.
The world does not need another campaign for the sake of a campaign. It needs hope. It needs truth. It needs grace. It needs to know that God has not abandoned humanity. It needs to hear the story of a Savior who entered human history, lived among us, died for us, rose again, ministers for us, and has promised to come again.
For ATCU, every day will provide another opportunity for the territory to tell the world about Jesus. Two thousand years after the Messiah came, His Church will once again lift up His name. The platforms are new. The methods are different. The audience is global. But the message remains unchanged. Jesus Christ is the Messiah. Jesus Christ is our hope. Jesus Christ is coming again.
