Adventist Youth Week of Prayer 2026 in the Atlantic Caribbean Union

By Henry R. Moncur III | ATCU Communication

The Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU) announces Adventist Youth Week of Prayer, to be observed March 21–28, 2026, immediately following Adventist global youth and children’s events. Held in partnership with the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church, this week forms part of a global movement inviting young people to deeper prayer, spiritual renewal, and active mission.

A Time of Prayer, Mission, and Spiritual Renewal
Youth Week of Prayer is a global initiative coordinated by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Youth Ministries Department and takes place annually immediately after Global Youth Day, a worldwide outreach mobilizing young Adventists in service and witness. For 2026, Global Youth Day is on March 21 and carries the theme “Communion in Action” inspired by Acts 4:31. It highlights the transformative power of collective prayer and Spirit-led service, encouraging young people to put faith into practical love and gospel outreach. As Global Youth Day ushers in Youth Week of Prayer, Adventist youth across the Atlantic Caribbean region will extend this momentum into a full week of focused devotion, Bible study, and prayer gatherings.

A Word from Youth Leadership
Andrew Burrows, Youth Ministries director for the Atlantic Caribbean Union, expresses his excitement: “Youth Week of Prayer is more than a tradition; it is a divine appointment for our young people. When our youth pause to pray, study God’s Word, and serve others together, they experience a deeper connection with Christ and a clearer sense of purpose in His mission. My prayer is that every young person across our union will encounter God in a personal and powerful way during this week.”

Connecting with the Worldwide SDA Church
Youth Week of Prayer is part of a broader rhythm of special days and spiritual emphases observed by the global Seventh-day Adventist Church each year. This week unites young people across continents in a shared spiritual journey. For the Atlantic Caribbean Union, encompassing The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and Turks and Caicos Islands, this observance offers a special opportunity to strengthen youth ministries, deepen faith commitments, and encourage meaningful participation in church life and community service.

A Call to Participate
Church leaders, parents, and youth sponsors are encouraged to support this sacred time by creating welcoming spaces for young people to pray, worship, and grow together. Whether through evening prayer meetings, small-group devotionals, or youth-led services, Youth Week of Prayer 2026 aims to inspire a generation to live out their faith boldly and prayerfully.
As the Atlantic Caribbean Union joins the world church in observing Adventist Youth Week of Prayer, the focus remains clear: when young people pray together, God moves, and communities are never the same.
