Under the theme “Celebrating His Providence and Affirming Our Values,” the Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists (IAD), headquartered in Miami, Florida, will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2022, having been officially organized as an Adventist World Division in 1922. This milestone will be commemorated by several activities, the first of which was the launching ceremony that was held on October 30, 2021. The culminating grand celebration will take place on October 29, 2022. For information on the other events, click here.
The IAD, with more than 3.6 million members, will continue its centennial celebrations across its territory as each of its 24 administrative church regions or unions conducts a consecration service on Sabbath, January 8, 2022. On this day, the Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU), one of the administrative church regions of the IAD, will conduct its union-wide centennial consecration service online beginning at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Balvin Braham, IAD vice president, will be the guest speaker for the service.
“We, in the Atlantic Caribbean Union, are happy to be joining in the celebrations of the goodness of God to the Inter-American Division on the occasion of the attainment of 100 years of Christian witness as a division of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists,” says Pastor Peter Kerr, president of ATCU. “Surely we can say ‘Hitherto has the Lord led us.’ We know for certain that with God’s continued blessings, the success of the work of God in this division is guaranteed, and our future is bright with the hope of the coming of the Lord.”
We have an amazing centennial day planned. In addition to the consecration service, there will be a Healthy and Happy Bible Study Series Marathon celebration on Sabbath, January 8, 2022, at 4:30 p.m. to share praise reports on the success of the Bible series. Join us in taking this opportunity to thank God for His leading!
