The Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU) of Seventh-day Adventists convened its Third Quinquennial Session from December 6 to 7, 2025, at the Hillview Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nassau, Bahamas, bringing together delegates, church leaders, and guests to review the work of the past quinquennium and to set the direction for the next five years.

The session opened with worship on the evening of December 6 and continued on December 7 with business meetings, elections, and spiritual reflection, all conducted in an atmosphere of prayer, unity, and commitment to mission.

The session was attended by Dr. Abner De los Santos, president of the Inter-American Division (IAD), who chaired the election process, providing spiritual counsel and organizational leadership during this critical phase of the union’s work.

Presiding over the session in his new capacity as president of the Atlantic Caribbean Union was Pastor Kent Price who guided the proceedings and provided leadership throughout the session.

Spiritual Emphasis

The morning devotional on December 7 was delivered by Ivelissa Herrera, treasurer of the IAD, who presented a message on what it means to allow God to guide His people. Drawing from Scripture, she outlined three foundational principles for godly leadership and decision-making:

  1. Trusting in God with all our heart
  2. Acknowledging Him in every area of life
  3. Following His leading with faith and obedience

Her devotional reminded delegates that the success of the church’s work depends on complete reliance on God’s guidance rather than human wisdom.
