Across the Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU), young people and children are preparing to observe Global Youth and Children’s Day on Saturday, March 21, 2026, a worldwide initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that inspires young hearts to put faith into action through service, fellowship, and outreach.

Living Out Faith Through Service

Global Youth and Children’s Day is one of the church’s planned special observances, celebrated annually on the third Sabbath of March. This year’s theme, Communion in Action, invites youths and children everywhere to reflect Christ’s spirit of unity and to show God’s love through prayer, service, and community involvement.

“Global Youth and Children’s Day provides a powerful opportunity for our young people and children to live out their faith in meaningful ways,” said Andrews Burrows, ATCU Youth Ministries director. “It’s not only about gathering for worship, but about stepping out in faith to serve and uplift others in our communities with the love of Jesus.”

In the ATCU territory, comprising The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and the Turks and Caicos Islands, youth groups, Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs, children’s ministries, and local congregations will plan and participate in service projects, prayer walks, outreach initiatives, and other activities that emphasize compassion, spiritual growth, and practical expressions of Christ’s message.

Nurturing Young Hearts

Cheryl Rolle, ATCU Children’s Ministries director, added, “This special day encourages our children to discover the joy of serving others and to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Through simple acts of kindness and caring for those around them, our children learn what it means to be Christ’s hands and feet in today’s world.”

Global Youth and Children’s Day also marks the beginning of the broader Youth Week of Prayer, observed by Adventist communities around the world from March 21–28, 2026. During this time, young people are encouraged to deepen their faith through extended prayer, Scripture reflection, worship, and mentorship activities.

ATCU’s participation in the day reflects its commitment to nurturing the spiritual development of young people, equipping them to be leaders of faith, service, and hope. Through this global observance, children and youth celebrate their place in the church family and demonstrate what it means to live out the gospel in everyday life.
