RISE
Four Fields, One Mission
By Kent Price | ATCU President
As I assume this sacred responsibility, I lift my voice in gratitude to the God whom I serve, for He alone has proven faithful—especially in moments of uncertainty. I am reminded of the counsel of Scripture: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5–6).
Ellen White also offers timely counsel, reminding us that “the man who is fully sensible that he is in the service of Jesus Christ will aspire for the friendship of God. He will lie low before God that he may be nothing, and God everything.” This spirit of humility must guide our work.
As we enter this new quinquennium, I ask the church to keep this administration and our families in earnest prayer. The time to work is short. Jesus is coming soon. Therefore, we must be grounded in the Word and focused on the mission.
Every initiative across the Atlantic Caribbean Union must be unmistakably mission-driven. Our plans and projects must not merely exist; they must breathe with purpose—advancing the gospel and preparing a people for the Lord’s return.
To guide us forward, we are embracing four strategic priorities captured in the acronym RISE:
R — Renewal
We must renew our daily commitment to God. He must be first in our lives. Scripture calls us to “seek first the kingdom of God” (Matthew 6:33). We are therefore calling every administrator, director, pastor, elder, member, and institution to commit to daily prayer, faithful Bible study, and reliance on the Spirit of Prophecy.
I — Identity
Our identity must be firmly rooted in Christ. We are called to model His compassion, forgiveness, and love. Jesus said, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35). We must reflect Christ in our character, conduct, and conversations—and never be ashamed of who we are as Seventh-day Adventists.
S — Service
We must serve in the spirit of unity. Unity is our witness. Jesus prayed that His followers would be one so that the world may believe (John 17:21). Though we are a multicultural church, mission unites us. Our differences enrich the work, and guided by the Holy Spirit, we stand together to proclaim the everlasting gospel.
E — Evangelism
We must evangelize the territory God has entrusted to us. This administration is committed to coordinated evangelistic initiatives across all four fields during this quinquennium. We will support each conference with evangelistic teams, training, and resources, working toward the establishment of new churches across the territory. In the final year of the quinquennium, we will celebrate the harvest and give thanks for God’s outpouring of His Spirit.
Our goal is clear: one mission, four fields, united together. With God’s help, we will renew our commitment to Him, live out our identity in Christ, serve in unity, and evangelize faithfully.
Together, we will RISE.
