On Sabbath, June 13, 2026, the Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU) will place a special focus on Women’s Ministries Day, celebrating the spiritual contributions, leadership, and service of women throughout the region. This observance, recognized across the Seventh-day Adventist Church, acknowledges the vital role women play in nurturing families, strengthening churches, mentoring youth, and advancing the gospel in their communities.
Celebrating Women in Ministry
Throughout the Atlantic Caribbean Union, congregations are encouraged to host worship services, presentations, testimonies, and outreach initiatives centered on themes of faith, empowerment, and discipleship. The Women’s Ministries Department remains a crucial part of the church, fostering spiritual growth, leadership development, community engagement, and support for women of all ages. This annual emphasis day serves as a reminder of the biblical women who faithfully answered God’s call to serve.
A Message of Encouragement
Arleen Sands, director of the Women’s Ministries Department for ATCU, encourages all members to uplift and affirm women in their ministries and daily lives. She stated, “Women’s Ministries Day is a celebration of the faith, resilience, and commitment of women who continue to make a difference in their homes, churches, and communities. As women respond to God’s call to serve, they become instruments of hope, healing, and transformation throughout the Atlantic Caribbean Union.”
Members are urged to fully engage in the June 13 observance and to support initiatives that empower women spiritually, emotionally, and socially.
Strengthening the Mission
This day aims to inspire a renewed commitment to mentoring younger generations and fostering stronger fellowship bonds within local congregations. As the Atlantic Caribbean Union prepares for this significant observance, members are reminded that ministry flourishes when everyone utilizes their God-given gifts in service to others. Women’s Ministries Day will serve not only as a celebration but also as a call to continued mission and faithful service throughout the union territory.
