During May 20-21, 2025, the Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU) executive committee will convene for the first of its two annual governance meetings under the theme “Let Him Lead the Way.”
More than 30 representatives from the four conferences tasked with overseeing church initiatives in the Atlantic Caribbean region will convene in the hybrid meeting—at the union headquarters and online—to receive reports and implement strategies on mission initiatives in the region. Committee members include lay leaders, local conference administrators, church employees, and the president of Northern Caribbean University.
This year’s theme, “Let Him Lead the Way,” drives an agenda focused on programs that will strengthen the direction of the Adventist church in ATCU in fulfilling the gospel commission to reach more people for Christ. “This mid-year meeting is the most important meeting of our union to take place between union sessions, addressing both daily operations and long-term strategies for fulfilling the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s mission,” stated Dr. Cheryl Rolle, ATCU executive secretary.
Pre-meetings in preparation for the annual year-end business meetings of the executive committee will be held May 13-15, 2025. These pre-meetings include various boards and committees that help to facilitate the efficient operation of the work of ATCU.
The ATCU, headquartered in Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas, comprises 27,694 members across four fields: the Cayman Islands Conference, the North Bahamas Conference, the South Bahamas Conference, and the Turks and Caicos Islands Conference. Additionally, Northern Caribbean University in Mandeville, Jamaica, is co-owned and operated by both ATCU and the Jamaica Union.
